Everyone should love what they do, workspace and all! If you’re feeling like you’re trapped in a never-ending gray box, then it’s time to put a little spice in your life. With these simple tips, you can make your boring cubicle the talk of the office and prevent cubicle burnout.


It will be a nice change of pace to talk with a co-worker. Tell a funny story or joke, discuss plans for the weekend or current events; Even finding someone that you can vent with can remove a heavy weight from your shoulders. Integrate yourself within a group of co-workers to talk, go to trivia once a week or check out a local restaurant for happy hour appetizers!

2.- Be clever when using your breaks

If you have some time off, don’t spend the time in the same spot every day. Take a little walk around the office, say hello to the people on the hallways, sit on the breakroom and read a small article. Do anything you need to do, to take away the stress from your shoulders. Take a breath of fresh air and clear your mind before to go back to your space.

To keep up energized at work, nothing is worse than having tons of paperwork piled up in your cubicle. If you keep a clean space, it will make your time more enjoyable.

5.-Add Some Plants

Put a small plant in your cubicle; and find out first hand, why the notion that nature promotes positivity is true. No joke! Want proof? In an eight-month study conducted by Texas A&M University, researchers found that plant life had an observable, positive impact on workplace productivity. Among other results; the study showed that “problem-solving skills, idea generation, and creative performance, improve substantially in workplace environments that include flowers and plants.” The lesson? Again, put a plant in your cubicle!
